Started work on mounting my 'Dream Catcher' deer. The antlers have real sinew dream catchers in them (I will be adding stones and feathers to the dream catchers).

Lots of work left to do, but this is a start!

I used an 7x18 form because that's what I had on hand, the cape was more like 7 1/2x19. So I lengthened the form nose, but the face is still a little large for this form. The ears become the trickiest part when that happens and the ears were tough.

I've got a 23 inch cape in my freezer that I'm going to get a HUGE set of reproduction antlers for. It's going to be majestic. :giggle:

Yeah.. I'll get a photo of him. he's got AMAZING 5x5 antlers on him I got from Mino but.. he's one ugly deer LOL. I need to carve the clay and crap out around from his eyes and lips, redo his nose as much as I can redo all his clay work try to fix his ears and he'll look /decent/. He's not too old but damn he's.. he's just.. DERP. paid 20 bucks for him at a garage sale without antlers, he was a trash buck. the bases on these monster 5x5 aren't even big enough for him! there are gaps so i'm going to do my best to use clay and paint work to make it look better. his ears are in an ugly position and he's just.. well.. derpy! his actual name is bertie, though, lol.
