Day 62 and my little ball python is still all curled up in the egg!

I've seen some videos where someone has sliced the egg in order to have a peek at what the baby looks like. Is it better to let them break out on their own or is it better to open the shell for them then let them come out when they're ready?

In the end it really comes down to your comfort level with opening the egg. I've never lost one because I opened it. But you should wait until at least day 55!

Awesome! Thankyou :D I think I'd let my first clutch open themselves unless someone appeared to be struggling too much :XD:
Your snakes are amazing. I was wondering, would you be able to check out my journal when you've got some spare time and help us figure out what the morph is that I posted a picture of in there? :D It's like some kind of bumblebee, but I just don't know :XD:

Yeah, you say you'll let them come out, but trust me on day 56 you'll be ITCHING to know what's in there!!

You've got a bumblebee on your hands there. It's a nice one, but I don't see anything other than bumblebee. I see that someone thinks it has butter or bald gene in it, but I don't see that at all. A lot of people are shocked by how colorful and bright the babies look and are quick to see other genes. He does not have the brown of a butter, and he does not have the over all light pattern of a bald gene (not to mention that these are expensive snakes that people would not breed and 'accidentally' sell them to a pet store (I think I read that you got him at store)). He does not have the thin pattern and pale yellow of a killer bee.

He is however a *very* nice bumblebee.

Awesome! Thankyou  A bumblebee is exactly what I'm looking for so when the time comes hopefully he'll still be in the store so I can go take a look :D

He sure is! :D I'm heading home next week to Manchester so I'll drop by there and take a gander, the advert's been up for just over two weeks and it still says for sale, so fingers crossed that he is :XD:
