Update: After a few more hours of animation I added more of a ember animation to the flame, made the IV drip faster, and fixed the problem that the IV didn't drip all the way off the page.

I'm back at it again! Animating some of my older works into 'living pictures'. I am doing this with layers and 'bones', a combination of Adobe Photoshop, and Anime Studio 6. Sooooo much fun.

Drawing took 25+ hours, animation took 4+ hours. I learned a new trick with this one, the smooth liquid drip (I might just add sweat and blood to my Spock animation after all: [link] ).

Still work (has a little more detail): [link]

Grr...I meant to comment on this last night, I guess I just spaced off :XD: I left the tab open, though!
This is really neat...I love the way you've got the flame just kind of teetering...and you can almost see a heat wave around it. VERY nice! It looks really smooth.

This is super cool, especially the wavey flame! I think what would improve it is if he blinked. :3

Blinking is pretty tricksy. End up having to hand paint separate layers and use some tricks to make it smooth.

I like the added sparks flying up from the flame! Makes it even cooler. :D

Blinking sounds like a MAJOR amount of work!!!

Sparks! Sparks were fun, but a pain in the ass! :giggle:

Lol. You really only need 3 frames for blinking. Open, half-way, and then closed. Using fram-transitions, you can get a smooth blink. Or at least its not too much trouble with flash. Dunno what program you use :P

Hmmmm...I'm using Anime Studio, but I'm willing to bet that it can do that.

Hm...thinks about running off and adding a blink to the Spock animation....

I'm about to post my most complicated animation...Fire Fox.

Thanks! The program I'm using does 'warping' which makes the smooth animation easier.
