Fantasy Landscape by Phoenix-Cry Fantasy Landscape by Phoenix-Cry
This started off as a slice of tree (purchased at Micheals). I carved a pond into it, painted the bottom of the pond with olive and poured in a clear resin (it is still drying here so it's not fully clear yet). I added this powerery green stuff used by railroad model builders, then added bits of bark, bits of hair, lichen, the tree is a dried grass type plant I found on the side of the road, tree seeds, moss, and a bone I found in the yard.

I'm painting a dragon and female warrior who will grace this stage!

I'm stupid pleased with how this turned out, it's my first model background.

Kind of reminds me of Whiterun in skyrim, mixed with the plains from the hobbit movies...

Or just something from the village I used to live in :P

Looks very authentic, you could probably make war gaming tiles for those interested, but that would take a lot of time.

Thank you!

War game tiles would be a lot of fun, or doing one of those three dimensional play boards.

I'd like to point out (a long time late), that it would also get you quite a big amount of money; these kind of things are usually quite expensive.

Selling them would, to clarify. I've seen war-gaming play-boards sell for up to £200
But then, they take quite a long time to make. You should give it a go, though, seeing as you have the skills necessary.

I knew what you mean.  heehee.  I bet you'd be surprised what the material costs are that go into a lot of those high priced boards.  But I'll look into it.  Thanks!
