Okay, I'm done for the night on this. Base work on the shading is a pain in the butt because I don't have a ref for his expression or the lighting that I want.
Why the large black shadow? It's hiding a multitude of sins.
Description:
Hawkeye is far more pissed than in pain per se. I thought it would make an interesting piece to have Hawkeye taken momentarily off guard by another archer and catching an arrow in the shoulder. Unfortunately for the other archer his aim wasn't nearly good enough and he quickly learns that if you're going to loose and arrow at Hawkeye you'd better kill him with it. Sadly the other archer probably only had a few seconds left to live when he discovered this new information. Hawkeye has every intention of yanking the arrow out and sending it back home.

OOh wow... this is turning out marvelously!!! It looks so realistic!!! Wow.... just... wow... those eyes are perfect, and he looks so much like the actor! cannot wait to see the finished work!
